I would describe my work as:
Imagistic...Textured...Abstract...Intricate...Dynamic..Fresh
Drawing with various media is the key to my designs. I enjoy using the environment, usually a combination of natural and man-made forms, as my inspiration. From this I develop a range of surface qualities in texture and line, which I then compose and digitally manipulate.
Printing both digitally and by hand have been my main interest for my final year. Screen-printing is a very hands on and tiring process but with an outcome that i still find fulfilling. In contrast to this relief surface, digital printing gives a crisp and professional appearance which I also love.
I am again inspired by modern day trends and fashion. My work aims to be encouraged by current textile designs but my sole interest is to create pieces that reflect me and are unique.
